Juilliard Calendar Of Events – For now, faculty, staff and students who have approved access to the building are welcome to attend performances. We hope to be able to attract members of the general public who are fully vaccinated to the shows later in the fall, but in the meantime a lot of strangers. Our Performing Arts Education With The Juilliard School
New York –– announces a full lineup for its 2022-23 season, including live music, dance and theater performances at venues across the city, with multiple live streaming and on-demand opportunities for global audiences to see the future of the performing arts today. More than ever, audiences are connecting with performances, from student recitals to live productions at Alice Tully Hall, through online capabilities. And for local audiences, tickets to all presentations are cheap or free, offering the opportunity to see the artists of the future accessible to all.
Marking the reopening of David Geffen Hall in October, when students will participate in grand opening events to be announced by Lincoln Center at a later date. Additional performances and presentations at Geffen Hall include: Students from the Preparatory Department (music promotion and pre-college program) will perform with musicians from the New York Philharmonic at the Youth Concert on May 6 in new works composed by ensemble first prize winners. Inclusion, a new project between the American Composers Forum, , and the New York Philharmonic; The orchestra will perform Harmonielehre by John Adams in Geffen Hall, conducted by David Robertson, in the opening concert on May 18.

Wednesdays At One: Chamberfest 2023 At The Juilliard School
Tickets for all events of the 2022-23 season go on sale to the general public on August 30. Membership pre-sale begins August 9th. Student performances are a significant part of the performing arts curriculum, and prices are kept to a minimum. All tickets, excluding galas and fundraisers, are under $40, and many events are free. A calendar of events is included below and an electronic version of the concert calendar brochure is available here and all events can be viewed on the calendar.
The music department includes orchestra, vocal arts, historical performance, jazz, chamber music, contemporary music, conducting, piano, and composition, led by Dean and Director David Serkin Ludwig.
In addition to performances at Alice Tully Hall and David Geffen Hall, the orchestra appears at Carnegie Hall on October 24, led by Director of Conducting and Visiting Faculty David Robertson, and features the New York premiere of Claude Vivier's Siddhartha and the entire ballet. . Calendar — Decoda

The orchestra's distinguished guest conductors making their debuts this season are Giancarlo Guerrero (September 24); Manfred Honk (October 17); Bertrand de Billy (January 26, 2023); Roderick Cox (February 4); and Simon Young (April 17). Returning conductors include Speranza Scappucci, Jeffrey Millerski, Carlos Miguel Prieto and David Robertson, who conducts several performances during the season, including a special concert with jazz director Wynton Marsalis.

The program features students from the music, dance and drama departments in a cross-genre performance of two interpretations of the Faust fable – Stravinsky's neoclassical version and Marsalis' jazz interpretation that combines New Orleans, Dixieland, blues, ragtime and Charleston jazz. The orchestra's season concludes with a final concert on May 18 at David Geffen Hall, featuring a performance by John Adams.
An active chamber music program continues with hundreds of student ensembles performing throughout the year both on campus and elsewhere. The annual ChamberFest, a three-day festival of chamber music spanning the ages, takes place January 9-11, 2023 in Paul Hall in Wallis Tully Hall's Peter J. Sharp Theatre. Additional chamber music offerings include string quartet recitals on November 30, including two New York premieres by Jörg Widmann and April 7. Chamber music offerings also include the Daniel Seidenberg Faculty Recital Series, faculty and graduate student recitals, and master classes, Wednesdays at one. series in Alice Tully Hall and the Sonatenabend series in Paul Hall. On March 13-15, 2023, a mini-Camera Festival is also taking place.

The Department of Historical Performance is a full-tuition fellowship program in early music at the graduate level.
