Dr. Yuan currently serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Clinical and Administrative Division of the American University of Health Sciences School of Pharmacy. Dr. Yuan has a broad pharmaceutical practice and pharmaceutical consultation in psychiatric hospitals and retail pharmacies, specializing in clinical psychiatry and adolescent and adult psychopharmacology.

As an experienced pharmacy clinician, Dr. Yuan has worked as a pharmacy director and clinical pharmacist in an inpatient psychiatric hospital for over 11 years. Before working as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital, she had extensive experience in retail pharmacies as a pharmacist and pharmacy manager. Dr. Yuan prescribes Pharmacy Technician students, Pharm. pharmacy students and residents from multiple pharmacy schools for over 13 years.
Has Dr. Yuan in pharmacy management, an acute psychiatric hospital setting, and a retail setting. She is highly proficient in performance management, clinical protocol development, policy and procedure development, best practice implementation, and student/pharmacy development.

Dr. He is a registered pharmacist in the state of California and is also licensed as an advanced pharmacist. He is board certified in pharmacotherapy and currently works as a clinical pharmacist at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital in Covina, California. He is also AAHIVP certified and has worked in HIV medicine in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Dr. He brings more than 10 years of community practice, pharmacy management and medication therapy management to the School of Pharmacy. Before starting, Dr. Hahn's pharmacy practice works closely with pharmacies and independent physicians to develop medication management and regulatory compliance procedures. She managed multiple pharmacies and taught many pharmacy interns and pharmacists who became pharmacy managers. Dr. Hahn to educate seniors about medication adherence, chronic conditions, and Medicare Part D prescription drug benefits. It also provides medication management in various senior facilities. Dr. Han is a member of the Korean American-California Pharmacists Association.

Dr. Hussain received his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Health Science Tech Center in Amarillo, Texas, and his B.S. in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University in India. Prior to joining, Dr. Hussain served as an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Louisiana and the University of Oklahoma. He has taught professional and graduate pharmacy courses including but not limited to pharmacy, compound pharmacy, pharmacokinetics, physical pharmacy, advanced drug delivery and targeting, pharmaceutical technology, medical microbiology, and biotechnology. He has also mentored several M.S. etc. students throughout his career.
Dr. Hussain's research interest is mainly in the area of inhaled protein and peptide drug delivery. He is currently researching ways to improve drug absorption via non-invasive routes in laboratory animals and to understand macromolecular drug transport mechanisms in vitro. Dr. Hussain is also passionate about student learning and implementing new teaching and learning methods in the classroom and laboratory. He has been following the field of teaching and learning scholarship since joining in 2020.
