West Chester University said Friday it will resume online learning in the fall because of the coronavirus pandemic, but other Pennsylvania public schools plan to hold in-person classes.

The 14 universities in Pennsylvania's state system of higher education are planning their plans for teaching students in the fall semester. The system's board of trustees voted last month to offer universities a common system but allow them to come up with their own plans.

"With 14 campuses in 14 different locations, they have unique circumstances," said David Pidgeon, a government spokesman.
