Best Things To Do In Chicago In January (from A Local!)
Brewsology Beer Fest mixes delicious craft beers from local vendors with an after-hours museum experience at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Admission to the event includes full museum admission and dozens of brewery and cider samples. Consider an early entry ticket that provides an additional hour of access to special beer samples. Tickets range from $50 to $90 and are available online.
The 23rd Annual Chicago Polar Plunge hosted by Jackson is an iconic winter tradition and a great way to give back to the community. Experience the joy of stepping onto North Avenue Beach while supporting thousands of Chicago athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Gather friends, family and celebrities and form a team to make your trip a success! All funds raised will benefit Special Olympics Chicago / Special Children's Charities and help individuals with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, skills and achievements.

Wear your favorite green and celebrate Chicago's rich Irish heritage as it hosts one of the nation's largest St. Patrick's Day parades! The parade will begin on Balbo Drive, travel north on Columbus Drive and end on Monroe Drive. If you want to celebrate St. Patrick's Day to the fullest, start early and watch the Chicago River turn green that morning!
Events — Canine Therapy Corps
Food, live music and all things Irish come together for one of the most memorable events of the year: Shamrock'n The Block at Old St. Patrick's Church in Chicago, Illinois. This block party will feature Irish dancing, beer shots and balloons for the kids. And if you want to volunteer, you can fill out the registration form on the event website; there is always room for anyone who wants to help with raffles, tickets and more. It's all happening on March 11th at 11:30am, so be sure to check in early to enjoy Shamrockin'.

If you love St. Patrick's Day, you'll love drinking and "crawling" Chicago during the Saint Paddy's Pub Crawl on March 13th. Participants will receive a wristband and can enjoy special food and drinks at bars decorated in the spirit of Ireland. The 13th Annual Chicago Tattoo Convention is a must-attend event for ink enthusiasts. This 3-day convention features live tattoos from some of the country's most famous and talented artists, workshops and extraordinary entertainment from burlesque artists. Chicago April 2023: Events, Concerts, Clubs & Things To Do
Lucky's St. Join Chicago's most successful bar crawl ever with the Patrick's Day Tour. Enjoy two days of fun and pay once to browse on one or both days. You'll also receive 1-2 drinks or shots and a stadium party trophy (for the first 400 entries). Food and drink specials will be available at select locations, and professional photographers will be around to capture the moment. Registration is from 4-7pm and the event runs until midnight. PAW Patrol brings the stage to life with heroic characters, fun songs and dances, and stories for kids. In the all-singing, all-dancing show, kids will see their favorite characters, including Marshall, Rider, Chase, Wally, Jake and more. And if that wasn't enough, you'll also be invited to some very distinguished chicks – V.I.P. A party for the little ones to meet their favorite screen friends. The show will run from March 25 to March 26, with showtimes from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the day. Ticket information is available here.

On March 25, the Museum of Science and Industry will host this third annual Uncorked event. Taste more than 100 wines and bubbles from around the world, enter an after-hours museum, enjoy food, listen to music, participate in interactive exhibits, and more. There are two ticket options, VIP and general admission, with prices ranging from $70 to $100. This event is 21+ only.

The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle is an annual 8K road race held in Chicago's Grant Park. It attracts more than 30,000 runners, making it the largest running event in the Midwest.
