Following last month's announcement that the university has extended its sponsorship of graduate driver William Byron and his No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to 12 races a year through 2026, Hendrick Motorsports has announced the dates for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series race that will feature the title car. sponsor:

Byron, 23, is currently a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in strategic communications through the university's online programs. It began supporting Byron in 2014 as a late model production car and has been the title sponsor for 12 races since the 2018 Rookie Cup season.
The partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and Hendrick Automotive Group has grown steadily over the years. Hendrick Automotive Group is the largest privately owned automotive retail organization with 93 dealerships nationwide.
Works with the Hendrick organization to help its employees and family members achieve their educational and career goals. The groups work together to provide Hendricks' 11,000 team members across the United States with exclusive online offerings and residential programs. The company's training program allows employees and their family members to receive a variety of benefits when completing degree programs or continuing education credits at LU.

In addition to raising awareness of educational opportunities, the sponsorship has also touched several student programs. Through the College of Business, Hendrick Automotive Group helped create the curriculum for its Automotive Dealership Management B.S. in business management. Students receive hands-on training during two eight-week training sessions at dealers. The program aims to fill a void in the automotive industry for dealership owners, dealers and underwriters who use sustainable business models in accordance with God's principles. Hendrick Motorsports also supports the efforts of the Formula SAE School of Engineers, which focuses on electric car technology.
