Texas football and OU could join the SEC in 2024 Subject to final approval by the OU and UT boards, this is brought forward by a year from the original announcement. Compensating the board for the early withdrawal of the two schools is $100 million in upfront distributable revenue that OU and UT can offset in part with future revenue.

After the 2023-24 academic/athletic calendar year ends, Texas and Oklahoma can officially join the SEC. This means the 2023 football season will be the final season in which Texas and Oklahoma compete.

It appears the two schools could be in deals with TV networks and the Big 12 to leave the SEC as early as 2024. The Big 12's official announcement lists the two schools as having a combined $100 million in previous earnings.

The new system allows students to register for four courses (including course changes) instead of one semester, providing more choice and greater flexibility in course planning.

Semester and year-round courses offered under the traditional semester system run in a four-semester system.

The university divides each academic year into 1st semester (Spring/Summer semester) and 2nd semester (Fall/Winter semester) and students take courses for each semester.

* Those who took a leave of absence or dropped out by April 1st semester or October 2nd semester, will be suspended from full or partial coursework for the semester.
