Berkshire Music Paradise presents its first full summer season since 2019, running from June 17th to September 4th, featuring classical and popular artists performing at the height of their powers.

Before the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) returns to its haunted cottage on July 8, Tanglewood fans have plenty of other events to enjoy. On June 17 at 7:00 p.m., Ringo Starr and his all-star band gathered at the Koosewitzki Music Shed, where they have been in business since last June. Bonnie Raitt will be with special guest Lucinda Williams tomorrow night.

The Juilliard String Quartet will play and talk at Tanglewood's new venue, The Land Center for Music and Learning, on June 25 at 8 p.m. The Mavericks, Nick Lowe and Los Straightjackets entertain The Shed on Sunday June 26 at 2.30pm, while the Black Crowes present Shake One Money Maker next Wednesday at 7pm, while the Juilliard Quartet String Quartet for Tanglewood plays. A TMC-wide event featuring TMC members in string quartets, chamber music and recitals with rising stars in the classical music world was held that week, followed by a two-month concert series.

Open rehearsals (some fans consider these elaborate presentations the most exciting way to hear music at Tanglewood) continue on July 9, with Nelson preparing his repertoire the next day.
Next week's highlights include an open vocal workshop with world-renowned soprano Dawn Upshaw in Ozawa Hall on Thursday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m., a concert with pianist Emanuel Ax at 8:00 p.m., and the Empire Shed including an open song workshop featuring the comeback. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops play John Williams' stunning score at 8, while Andres Nielsen leads an all-star cast of Mozart's Don Giovanni at 8 on Saturday.

On August 14th, Yo-Yo Ma appeared as a singer in Edward Elgar's magnificent violin concerto, Debussy's La Mer, and Anna Klein's Masquerade. Romanian conductor Christian Masselaro makes his BSO debut with this performance.

On August 16, pianist Garik Olsen began his tour of four complete Brahms piano concertos at Ozawa Hall. It's all here – interludes, variations, waltzes, rhapsodies, sonatas – and performed by an artist with the physicality and power of Brahms himself. Full concerts on August 18, 23 and 25.

Keith Lockhart and the late Stephen Sondheim of the Boston Pops remember Nicky Rennie Daniels, Conrad Ricamora, Emily Skinner and Alton Fitzgerald White at the Warehouse on August 19. From Company and Follies to Sweeney Todd and The Killers, Lockhart and his colleagues will celebrate Sondheim's legendary talent.
The orchestra's concert will conclude on August 28 with a traditional performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas. Charles Ives' 90th Hymn will open the concert.

August 30 (Brandi Carlyle with special guests The Indigo Girls), September 3 (Judy Collins, Richard Thompson) and September 4 (Van Morrison) conclude the 2022 Tanglewood season.

Parma Artists At Tanglewood Music Festival 2022
The 2022-23 TLI Concert Series includes a Sunday afternoon program of five chamber music performances by Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians and guests, and a special performance by musicians from the Our Skin Gala.

The season premiere is Sunday, Oct. 16, featuring members Bonnie Buick, Takumi Taguchi, Steven Laria, and Mickey Katz with music by Fazil Tsai and Dvorak.
