During the second week of January, the streets of Cape Coral come alive with performers and entertainers from across the nation at the Cape Coral Festival of the Arts, one of Southwest Florida's largest and most successful arts events. More than 300 juried artists exhibit their paintings, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, photography, metalwork, and crafts to more than 100,000 visitors. Celebrate Latino culture at the annual Viva Cape Coral Festival. The festival began as a Cinco de Mayo celebration to celebrate Mexican heritage and has since evolved into a celebration and celebration in every country in South America. Shake to Latin jazz, sample traditional cuisine and enjoy the festivities at this fun festival.

Another favorite in March is the Jazz and Blues Festival. Bring a picnic to enjoy delicious food and great music on Marina Village's waterfront lawn.

Build and race your own boat in the Cardboard Boat Regatta, a fun and often hilarious event at Four Freedoms Park. This is a great pet-friendly event, so bring your four-legged friends to compete in special dog jumping and swimming events. All dogs are welcome.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style with authentic drinks and food at the relaxed and colorful Iguana Mia Cantina. The end of May also hosts the Cape Coral Westin's Shark-A-Thon fishing tournament, a fun event for anglers. Last but not least, May marks Mother's Day and moms can get free admission with their little ones to Sunsplash Family Waterpark.

Start your Independence Day off right at the pet-friendly Great American Picnic in Cape Harbor. Cape Coral welcomes the nation with a patriotic tribute to the troops, followed by a big family activity. Bring your pets to the Ultimate Patriotic Contest, show off your baking skills in the Apple Pie Contest, and wow the kids with the Banana Eating Contest! A fun Fourth of July event. Next up – red, white and boom! Fourth of July in Cape Coral is awesome! The Cape Coral Bridge closes for the event of the year. The festival kicks off with live entertainment, crafts, activities, free giveaways and more to enjoy as Cape Coral celebrates Independence Day.

Also in July is Mango Mania! A summer festival celebrating the Pine Island mango harvest. A fun family event with kids, games, music, entertainment and all things Mango! Mango smoothies, bread, salsa, chutney and delicious ice cream.

We love our pets, and even though there are no official holidays in August, we love to celebrate our furry friends. August offers a local "just for fun" dog show at Rotary Park. Any size can enter 12 categories for prizes and awards. It's great fun for both pets and their owners, and there are vendors selling food, dog treats, and treats.

Celebrate International Day of Peace at Jaycee Park with a pet-friendly Day of Peace in the Park. A festival of music, vendors and fun activities for kids. Kids always have fun with the Yacht Club Beach Kids Fishing Derby held every September.

October is the month of Halloween, so head to Haunted Hikes at Mike Greenwells for spooky fun and be sure to carve your pumpkin on the gourds at Faith Presbyterian Church.

The Cape Coral Coconut Festival at Sunsplash Family Water Park celebrates the uniqueness of Cape Coral in the Southwest Florida region. Friday night is country night, Saturday night is rock night, and Sunday is bonfire and hula dancers. This festival is a local favorite with live music, rides, food, coconuts, crafts and fireworks! Also in November is the Veterans Day Parade, an opportunity to honor those who fought and died for our country. Bring your family to the March with Veterans and salute America's finest.

It's a jolly time and Cape Coral is sure to put on a good show this Christmas. Visit Santa at the tree lighting ceremony on Cape Coral Parkway as fireworks and snowflakes fill the sky. Another celebration is the Cape Coral Christmas Boat Parade, where all the boats are lit up for Christmas. Gather at Four Freedoms Park to watch the boat parade; You might even see Santa and his elves on board! The annual celebrations culminate in the Cape Harbor New Year's Party at Marina Village Resort, where you can see in the New Year with live music, dancing and fireworks.

Our Cape Coral sunsets deserve to be celebrated and every first Wednesday of the month we celebrate the Sunset Festival on the Yacht Club Beach. When night falls, stretch out on a beach lounger and enjoy live entertainment, bring a picnic or pick up a truck. The view of the Caloosahatchee River stretching into the Gulf of Mexico alone is worth going out tonight!

Cape Coral Sports Tickets

Cape Coral Bike Night comes to town on the second Saturday of October, December, February and April. There is a motorcycle parade through the streets, live rock music plays in the background, and there are plenty of food vendors.

The world famous Buckingham Blues Bar, home to Southwest Florida's premier blues bar club, is the best place to meet music lovers and enjoy the best blues. Keep an eye on their event calendar, there's always something fun going on.
