Bu Calendar 2023 Spring – This calendar is a celebration of seasonal vegetables, fruits and flowers, illustrated with hand-engraved, full-page original linocut prints.

This calendar is our fourth edition and is designed to inspire, motivate and teach you how to plant, grow and harvest fresh from the garden. It also emphasizes the importance of organic, seasonal and local food and the positive benefits of connecting with nature.

This year we are focusing on a different theme each month, from propagation to floriculture, exotic foods and jungle gardening. Get inspired to learn and grow this year in your garden and work with the nature around you. A climbing chart will also be included on the back of the calendar.

A&t Announces 2023 Schedule

This calendar is a great gift for gardeners, dedicated growers, veggie enthusiasts, and anyone starting out who needs a little year-round guidance. Also, it will appeal to anyone with a passion for botanical patterns, crafts, and traditional printing techniques.

I created this calendar with farmer extraordinary Bruni Middleton, head gardener at the Sharpham Trust in Devon, who maintains her 19th-century walled vegetable garden and ornamental grounds.

Full-page examples of seasonal fruit, flowers or vegetables. All prints are from original designs, colored by hand and then carved into intricate lino blocks.

The calendar will have an organic look and feel with a rich color palette. The calendar is printed using eco-friendly ink on light gray paper made from 100% recycled fibre. Fold size should be 300 x 300mm hanging size 300 x 600mm with staples on pleats and hole at top for hanging. Links to each calendar are provided below for the corresponding academic year. Note that each course is a separate calendar and must be added for all courses to be visible in the application of your choice.

All clerks mark June 19th, the holiday and Thanksgiving holiday. All 3rd year students also have an additional day off.

Students often work morning, afternoon or night shifts. Sometimes there are weekend shifts. Students can change shifts if their schedule allows without breaking office hours or taking a break between shifts.

Students usually don't have weekend clinical assignments, but some sites schedule students for weekend or afternoon clinical sessions (clinical sessions are approximately 3.5-4 hours of scheduled patient care). This site is open to patients every hour. Maintenance (which you can check on the web page of your website linked from the Clerkship FM website). When evening or weekend clinical sessions occur, students will be reimbursed for an average of two clinical sessions during the week, excluding didactic days or week-long holidays. Most clinics work outside of scheduled patient hours, so you will have to wait an additional hour or so after your scheduled clinic session ends. Your clinic schedule will be provided to you when you arrive at your clinic location.

The student schedule is Monday through Friday, excluding evenings and weekends. Students have one session per day of 4-6 hours and usually finish by 4pm.

On weekends, when students work, students will do the same work day with internal medicine specialists to maintain the integrity of the medical department team and so that students gain experience working in interdisciplinary teams. In this case, students will also be working on the Monday off. Students will have 2 blocks of 4 weeks in this course. Students have a wellness day on Friday afternoon the 4th, starting at noon (or after the round).

No overnight calls to any sites. Students will not be assigned more than 1 week block during the first 3 week block.

Ob/Gyn students rotate through all inpatient gynecology, labor and delivery, and outpatient clinics (BMC/Lahey students will do inpatient gynecology only in Lahey). These rotating maintenance locations allow for scheduling flexibility and personalization. Schedules in all locations are quite flexible, so that if needed, students can take a day off and use one of the private days until Friday or Monday if needed. Time off must be claimed in accordance with BUSM's break policy and private day. International students make their own schedule after coming to the office.

For holidays other than Thanksgiving, holidays, and spring break, student schedules vary by place and location. Other holidays (such as Monday holidays) and associated weekends will depend on each student's schedule and the location of their shift, as some outpatient services may be closed but inpatient services remain active. To be fair, we do our best to balance schedules so students have roughly the same schedule in terms of service time during a block.

Students can typically expect to work an average of two weekend days per month, some of which are night shifts, seeing acute care surgeries and trauma patients in the ER. There is usually flexibility in the weekend schedule so students can plan to miss important events if needed.
