For students attending school in person, the district will follow the governor's directive to wear masks.

If trustees find and name the next superintendent at the Aug. 30 meeting, that candidate will not be able to lead Fort Worth ISD until Sept. 20.
Molinar has been with Fort Worth ISD for 24 years. He started as a teacher and worked his way up to his current position.

Current Superintendent Scribner has led the district for seven years. He announced his plans to leave the role in January. Trustees approved his contract in March, and the district paid Scribner $573,077 to buy the contract.
Attorney Brian Newby, who advised the trustees in their search, told the Fort Worth Report that the school board has narrowed its search to six candidates. Trustees aim to have a new superintendent in September, Newby said.

So far, Fort Worth ISD has paid HYA Associates $46,895 to search for a superintendent, according to the district's June and July public review lists.
